No matter where the destinations, we always seem to find ourselves remembering some of our favorite movies scenes. Each and every one of the landscapes we visit while we travel can transport us to a moment in a film, this is because the movies are a big part of our lives.

Despite the Oscars being over, we wanted to bring you these ten incredible movie locations that can definitely make you feel like you are living as one of their characters. Even if you don’t enjoy each of Hollywood box office films, you can always enjoy the enchanted places they selected to bring the movie magic to life.

 

1. Miami, Moonlight

You can visit Virginia Key Beach or even the renowned Jimmy’s East Slide diner from the Oscar-winner film Moonlight. And if you like, you can meet an extra from the movie and learn a little bit of Miami’s African American history.

 

2. Los Angeles, La La Land

Become Oscar-winner actress Emma Stone’s character in the romantic movie La La Land. Experience the side of being a young actor struggling in Hollywood; visit the locations from the movie, check out a Hollywood set and many more incredible opportunities.

 

3. Coastal New England, Manchester by the Sea

This stunningly pastoral village is situated in the North of the Island (New Zealand) and you can still find the Shire there. In no time you will feel like your standing in The Lord of the Rings “Middle Earth”.   

 

8. Morocco, Gladiator

This UNESCO World Heritage site in Morocco served as the scenario for the Oscar-winning movie Gladiator, starring Russell Crowe. The town of Aït Ben Haddou is where the Roman soldier Maximus (Crowe) was sold into slavery.

 

9. Scotland, Skyfall

The James Bond franchise let us into the characters childhood home in the movie Skyfall and you can make it there too. Even though the actual home was built somewhere else, you can still visit the films location in Glencoe, a mystical land in the Highlands of Scotland.    

 

10. Sicily, The Godfather

Everyone can remember the classic 1973 movie The Godfather, one of director’s Francis Ford Coppola masterpieces. If you want to visit Vito Corleone’s Sicily, then Savoca and Forza d’Agro, near the city of Taormina is where you should go. The small village in Savoca (Sicily) is where they filmed the wedding of Michael Corleone (Al Pacino) to his beloved Apollonia.
