site in Morocco served as the
scenario for the Oscar-winning movie Gladiator,
starring Russell Crowe. The town of Aït Ben Haddou is
where the Roman soldier Maximus (Crowe)
was sold into slavery.
9. Scotland, Skyfall
The James Bond franchise let
us into the characters childhood home in the movie Skyfall and you can make it there too. Even though the actual home
was built somewhere else, you can still visit the films location in Glencoe, a mystical land in the
Highlands of Scotland.
10. Sicily, The Godfather
Everyone can remember the classic 1973 movie The Godfather, one of director’s Francis Ford Coppola masterpieces. If you want to visit Vito Corleone’s Sicily, then Savoca and Forza d’Agro, near the city of Taormina
is where you should go. The small village in Savoca (Sicily) is where they filmed
the wedding of Michael Corleone (Al Pacino) to his beloved Apollonia.
